I'm thankful the President is rising above all the rhetoric and taking our country in the direction it ought to be going. Caring for the poor is on Christ's heart, and though many say it shouldn't be through govt. programs, from my personal experience, Christians are just too preoccupied to get outside their comfort zones and really give much thought to the poor. When that changes, then maybe you can talk about doing away with govt. programs
