I have been with my parent for 18 years. While the state we live in (MN) does not recognize our relationship our families do!! They know our wishes if anything happens and we both have written and notorized wills that WILL be honored! I for one am sick of people talking about the “sanctity” of marriage when they are on their 3rd or 4th marriage or are married for a matter of months and in some cases hours. I know many gay couples that have been together longer than many straight couples. And have you noticed most of the people talking about the “sanctity” of marriage are single?! How is letting 2 people who love and support each other get married going to effect your straight life and marriage??
