Oye. 5 really upsets me. I was a volunteer & the one thing we were definitely told in training was to make sure flags stayed off the ground, to pick up fallen flags quickly & collect them for proper disposal. One spectator returned a fallen flag to us folded in a tiny triangle (made my day). No flag was left behind in my section, and those given back to us by spectators were donated to schools & American Legions. Also, there were not enough garbage cans & they weren’t emptied nearly enough. Considering that, the littering really wasn’t as bad as could’ve been expected.
Could have mentioned Karl was in LOTR. More people saw that over Doom.
