Meghan a year agoThis doesn’t address the fact that people (not just women, but ALL Americans on average) are a hell of a lot fatter than they were 20 years ago. Or even ten. Driving past my old high school I noticed the kids there are way chunkier than my class. There’s an obesity epidemic going on and it needs to be addressed because it’s sending healthcare costs through the roof and endangering people’s livelihoods. So, yes, anorexia is a problem. A big one. But we’re living in a society of extremes. And neither one is good. This has nothing to do with the supposed “plus” size model. She looks perfectly healthy (and gorgeous) to me. Taller women, especially, should have lovely hips and curves. But people don’t exercise anymore! They don’t eat well! And then they turn on their televisions and see these itty bitty super models or actresses who don’t eat. Is it any wonder that they either (a) shove more food in their face and set of a shame spiral or (b) start starving themselves?

crazy kat a year agoI agree, I think Tina Fey said it best. When women look at thin models they say, “what’s the point” and eat like a crazy person. I know I did when I was growing up. People should love themselves regardless of size, then can they get to a healthy body type.
