Just after news broke of the violent attack in South-East London, in which one man is confirmed to have died, Friends Reunited posted the following message on Twitter.
They've since deleted the tweet and apologised.
But not before attracting a string of complaints.
Friends Reunited's statement in full:
An inappropriate tweet was put up by a member of staff this afternoon. It was done without the approval of the company's management and was taken down within minutes. The member of staff now faces disciplinary action. We will make sure this never happens again.
