For gay men of a certain age — or anyone interested in underground film — Joe Dallesandro is a legend. He was discovered by Andy Warhol and Paul Morrissey in 1967, and they immediately cast him in their film Four Stars. Dallesandro went on to star in Flesh, Trash, and Heat, a trifecta of movies that showcased his subtle acting skills and, yes, his absurd sex appeal.
