“A medium-sized popcorn and medium soda at the nation's largest movie chain pack the nutritional equivalent of three Quarter Pounders topped with 12 pats of butter.” That's according to a report released today by the advocacy group Center for Science in the Public Interest. (Surely they don't have the same fat content.)
Unless you're eating movie popcorn and a soda three times a day for your entire life, there's nothing to worry about. Sheez. Must have been a really slow news day.
Those quarter pounders look really good.
good thing i don't go to the movies very often…
If popcorn and a drink are the nutritional equivalent of three quarter pounders and lots of butter, and popcorn is like a whole lot of nothing, really, that means three quarter pounders and lots of butter are like nothing really. That makes both of these diet foods. Awesome!
Yes, but what about all those suspenseful moments in 2012?? What will I do if not shoveling popcorn in my gaping maw????
But what if it's just a diet soda? It all balances out, right? Where is the information I want to hear, not the actual facts?
this is why you sneak your own food in!
So they're saying there's no nutritional value at all?
