5 Things Fight Scenes Taught Me

Whenever a fight scene comes on a TV show or a movie, I always like to take away some tips. You know, in case I ever get attacked by The Crazy 88's.

1. In regards to swords, knives, and other shiny objects . . .

If someone's coming after you with a knife, you're probably going to get nicked. Just knock that blade out of their hand before they really take a stab at you.

2. Time of death varies. Who knew?

People die at different speeds. There's the long, exaggerated death; the quick and easy death; and the I'm-not-really-sure-if-they're-going-to-die death.

3. Always keep sharp objects nearby

Whenever your attacker is on top of you, always reach to the right. I'm sure you'll find some kind of weapon to use.

4. Always keep two hands on the gun

DO NOT FOLLOW WHAT OLIVIA IS DOING HERE! When pointing your gun at a target, make sure you stand farther than arms length away from them. They will most likely try and grab your gun and then you'll be in a struggle.

5. Stop struggling with a loaded gun in your hand

On that note, don't struggle with gun in your hand and with the safety on. Someone is definitely going to get shot. I know, I know, most of the time the bad "guy" is the one to get shot, but your life is not stunt in a movie, unfortunately.
