My brother and I mulled the prospect of introducing Robin into the cast, and picked JGL as the only proper candidate, before he was announced in the cast. Figured the casting could be a red-herring.

I swear I read somewhere that Nolan had promised not to bring Robin into the series. I’ll trust my vague recollection and sincere hopes over a mystery source’s rumor.

I don’t think it’s Robin, but I do believe this trilogy will end with Batman’s spine in two pieces, and “someone” possibly taking up the cowl. John Blake is listed as Gordon’s most trusted officer. Who better for Wayne to trust than that?
