I've recently been looking for a new job and the only thing I have found that lightens this daunting task is some of the ridiculous postings I see on a daily basis. I've started a working list of job titles that are made to sound important and what they really mean. So before you apply for a job thinking you are getting your foot in the door at a Corporate Marketing firm, think again.

1. Event and Nightlife Promotions Host = Pretty Bitch at the Front Door of the Club with a Clipboard and a Mini Skirt.

2. Field Marketing Associate = Sample Hander Outer/Product Pusher. Your red flares should especially go off if "Food Handling Experience" is a preferred qualifications.

3. Liquor Brand Ambassador = Shot Girl. Maybe you sometimes get to hand out samples at the local Wine Warehouse in real clothes.

4. Have Fun and Make Money = First and foremost I would be leery of job titles that are not actually job titles. Also, this basically means you're working off commission.
