Food Buzz The greatest number of yolks found in a single egg is nine, but the chances of finding even two are 1,000 to one. This four-yolk egg was found in North Yorks, England and made a delicious omelette (we assume!).

Once—we bought a half-dozen carton (the kind they just cut in half)—all six eggs were double yolk. I have pictures somewhere. We figure somebody on the production line meant to discard them after collecting them all in one carton. We ate them.
