Louis Vuitton Sues Darfur Charity

Style Buzz Artist Nadia Plesneris being sued by Louis Vuitton for depicting a LV-inspired bag in an image sold to raise money for a Darfur Charity. The image depicting a Darfur victim carrying a designer handbag and a Paris Hilton-style dog was meant to draw attention to the media’s disproportionate focus on celebrities. The Paris based company is demanding over $20,000 for each day that Plesener continues her project, presumably because they do not appreciate having their brand equated with genocide, a move that seems to have backfired.
