Here, a map depicting a fantasy land where landmarks include “Fountain of Youth” or “Lover’s Leap.” Published in 1943, this was the creation of Ernest Dudley Chase, a talented maker of pictorial maps (meaning maps with decorative and illustrated elements) who would appear to have never suffered a horrible break-up…because love looks pretty damn fun according to his view.
