Everyone knows the superior version of Baby Its Cold Outside is Bing Crosby and Doris Day!
i have loved jonathan groff since spring awakening, he is an amazing actor (and singer!) also, i got to see his naked toosh in the play, wee!
i completely agree with this countdown, well done!
victoria, you are clearly a fellow victim of bitchy resting face. i feel your pain.
a little off topic, but yet completely on topic…i give you the brilliant patrice o’neal on offensive comedy… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjIuPSuYSOY
in the author’s defense, i think it was just worded improperly. “Former showgirl and protected witness turned humanitarian” <— i think that was his summation of the first film? just my guess.
sounds like a harry potter character!
sorry didnt mean to post this twice, it looked like it didnt post the first time.
“Walt didnt care about who or what you were, he cared about your talent and ability….They had these pre-conceived notions that Walt was anti-Semitic, they had thoughts that he was racist - but that WASNT TRUE. And as I told Walt’s daughter Diane, I can attest to this because I was there. There were stories that ‘Walt didn’t hire Jews’…well I went to the studio and there were plenty of Jewish artists! ….Then they said, ‘Well, Walt Disney doesnt hire Black people’ and I thought, well, I would have thought he would have noticed! Walt used to walk down the lot, and again like I said, he always walked by himself - he didnt have an entourage, he’d be walking along by himself and Walt would see me, and he’d always say the same thing, he’d always say “Hiya Kid!” He’d always call me Kid…So you know, clearly he knew that I was working for him.” - Floyd Norman on Feb 13, 2010 -The First African-American hired by Walt Disney in the ’50s Watch the truth before your very eyes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdvLqwQAjdc
for the love of god, DISNEY WAS NOT A RACIST OR ANTI SEMITIC. Watch this, and save it and post it anytime you see someone say this so we can end these dumb comments. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdvLqwQAjdc “Walt didnt care about who or what you were, he cared about your talent and ability….They had these pre-conceived notions that Walt was anti-Semitic, they had thoughts that he was racist - but that WASNT TRUE. what about that dude who drives around williamsburg with his windows open singing italian songs at the top of his lungs?! i love that guy!!!
im tired of hearing people telling other people whats good for girls and women. of course its amazing and important to have empowering music, but its JUST as important to have very personal music that you can go to when you need to feel understood, not alone and like someone else had been there. there is room in the world for BOTH types of music.
for people here who are clearly to lazy to watch the clip : THEY ARE MAKING FUN OF THE WEBSITE NOT THE HEALTHCARE. jeeze.
funny cause every other media outlet is also making fun of obamacare, yet you felt the need to single them out for it. #democrats
I understand where you are coming from. The answer to your issue isnt as easy as discouraging parents from pushing their children to enlist. The Military offers many benefits to young people that some cannot get elsewhere. They can have a career, a salary, a roof, [good] healthcare, and a free education…for some that is too much to pass up. Unfortunately, not everyone is afforded many options. And still many join for more patriotic reasons. But at the end of the day, both those types of people signed up knowing they may have to risk their lives to keep us safe at night. Maybe they are focused on something else now, but you never know what is looming around the corner. So when a soldier dies, in combat or for any other reason - most people feel a deep respect for them, because they know what they ultimately did or were willing to do for them, their family and their country. At the end of the day this is about a person, not a government.
but the cellblock tango is supposed to be women, they even sing above in the song and say “the women of…” and this article refers to them as “divas” … im just saying… there were plenty of other disney villians they could have used that are female. it makes no sense.
i dont think those eyes are the right size for the face…they are much too small. i agree that disney characters have large eyes, not debating that - but if you’re making the eyes smaller, you need to adjust the face as well, thats why these look so weird. look at your own face - your eyes are NOT that small.
Scar is male…
“[buffy] …largely ignored by audiences.” did google tell you that? my entire generation would argue you on that one.
yes! i thought the same thing. overshare!
I dressed up as a Disney Princess multiple times as a kid and somehow im still a grown up independent woman with a career, by god - how did i manage to do it!
I think many of you are misunderstanding the quote above. They are specifically commenting on the film they were working on in which there are two female heroes. Key word here: HEROES. Essentially both characters are holding a similar role in the film, neither character is a villain. When trying to stick to a style guide, that is a very difficult task to accomplish through animation of their gestures and expressions alone. This may be a difficult concept to understand if you are not/were not a student of animation, but it is not a sexist remark at all, it is simply the nature of the beast. As you can see, it isn’t an easy concept to explain, just as I am having trouble - so did the Head Animator above, which is leading to the confusion in this article and comments, but to anyone who understands animation, it is not the offensive comment you take it to be, it is simple a technical challenge.
i will say honestly i am not a doctor, but the fact that he got free of his head strap and hand restraints making the video more “dramatic” made me question what i was watching. i headed over to youtube, and it appears this procedure, an NG tube, is quite normal. you can youtube videos of doctors and soldiers performing it on themselves, and while it does look uncomfortable, they dont react anywhere near the levels of distress that Mos Def does. of course, like the girl below who said she underwent this procedure due to her anorexia, im sure the “forcing” part does make it much more unpleasant. anyway, just wanted to share that.
most of these arent “hacks” but rather “how to use photoshop”
um, expedition everest is in animal kingdom. DUR.
“Yeezus was a huge cultural event” good one!
I would also add Grey’s Anatomy. I started watching at the end of the third season - and just recently went back and watched everything i missed. It makes you really understand why the characters react to certain things the way they do, and make the decisions they do.
totally agreed. the last few seasons havent been great in terms of comedy - but if you started from the beginning, you cant stop watching cause you love the characters and want to follow them. also SO MANY INSIDE JOKES. if you skip, you are doing yourself a huge disservice.
im pretty sure #15 negates the entire list.
i didnt watch this one yet, and normally id not submit myself to spoilers, but i almost dont care anymore…i like the “new” cops, but too many other things have changed. the most glaring is theres virtually no court scenes anymore. its all LAW and NO ORDER! arrrgh.
i had the hugest crush on Keith Coogan! <3
#10 Cinderella’s prince was “Prince Charming” … Snow White’s was just referred to as the “Prince”
homemade whipped cream is the best thing in the entire universe.
me thinks you need to look up the definition of “horrifying”
