It looks like gay sex (okay, in beetles) can actually produce offspring. Apparently, homosexual sex is common among insects (who knew?). And in a recent study, researchers found that some male-male “copulations” in flour beetles resulted in second-hand fertilizations (the male’s sperm was accidentally passed along to a female after the homosexuals hit it). And that’s the story with beetles and gay sex.
