Science Buzz This picture could be the first ever of a planet outside our solar system. In the top left-hand corner you can see a small dot, which looks like it’s orbiting a sun-like star. The possible planet (which is estimated to be eight times more massive than Jupiter) is about 500 light-years from Earth. Could this be the home to our alien neighbors?

Uhhh, unless the aliens are super-thin pancake like creatures that move inches in their entire lives. “eight times more massive than Jupiter” The atmospheric and gravitational pressure would be RIDICULOUS. Maybe not the atmospheric, but you get the idea. It might be inhabited by those cute little water bears ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tardigrada ).
