This Protester Made "Mean Girls" Inspired Placards For The Anti-Austerity March In London

"Raise your hand if you've ever been personally victimised by David Cameron."

An anti-austerity march is taking place in London today to protest against proposed Tory cuts.

Welfare & International officer at UCL, Leah Francis, took inspiration from the film Mean Girls for the design of her protest placards.

My friend @leahfrancis93 has made some jokes Mean Girls-themed placards for #EndAusterityNow today.

Quotes from the film have been placed alongside key Conservative figures including David Cameron, Boris Johnson and Theresa May, while some have been re-worked with reference to the protest.

"Raise your hand if you've ever been personally victimised by David Cameron," reads one placard.

Fellow protesters have responded positively to the placards, jovially naming Francis and her companions, "#MeanGirlsBloc."

Some protesters would prefer austerity, like "fetch", not to happen.

Stop trying to make austerity happen, Cameron, it's not going to happen. #EndAusterityNow

    Austerity isn't fetch. #EndAusterity #EndAusterityNow #meangirlsbloc
