I started slowly. I started with just eating healthier. Less junk food and more home cooked meals and salad. But it really hit me when my son started eating salad because he saw me, that right there showed me that he looks at everything I do and I have to get better for him and for myself. So eating healthier grew into going out for walks. I bought myself a pedometer and since i am competitive i started beating my average steps every week. I have lost over 26-27 pounds since april and still have a long way to go but i am glad that i took the first step of learning to eat well without dieting and starting with 3 walks a week that evolved into 5-6 2 hour walks a week and a daily bicycle ride with my son.
