Australian Cafes Are Banning People From Paying With Cash Taken From Their Underwear

This is important.

In recent months, Australia has been rocked by cafes taking a stand against people keeping cash in their underwear.

Who hasn't chucked a fiver in their bra or the band of their undies while wandering down to the shop for a coffee? Or going for a jog? Or on a night out?

Well, as it turns out... some employees are absolutely done with receiving warm, sweaty, crumpled cash from the confines of some rando's bra, underwear, socks, and so on.

ABC News has reported a "growing number" of businesses in the West Australian towns of Geraldton and Carnarvon are putting up signs advising customers they cannot hand over money pulled from their bra, underpants or socks.

Carnarvon cafe owner Corey Weeks made headlines last year after putting up a sign reading "We do not accept $$$$ from bras or underpants".

He told Vice that staff were sick of receiving cash pulled out of bras.

"Carnarvon has hot and humid weather, so it gets pretty sweaty in there. Money is already so dirty, we don't need the sweat too—remember, we're handling food," he said.

It's clearly A Thing – but how many people actually keep cash in their jocks? Let's settle this once and for all.
