On his show, Real Time, Maher has been calling on viewers to nominate and vote for the worst members of Congress for his #FlipADistrict Campaign. Once a "winner" is chosen on September 12th, Maher plans to throw that member of Congress into the national spotlight and help oust them from office.
In July of 2012, after a two-year investigation, the Senate HELP Committee released a scathing report on the for-profit college industry. The investigation found that many of these schools charge a much higher tuition, have lower graduation rates, saddle more students in debt, and often have higher student loan default rates than at traditional colleges. Globe schools parallel schools from the report with their high cost and poor results. For instance, students that do graduate, graduate with much higher average student debt than the national average. As shown in the Silk graph at Globe.silk.co, Broadview University, Minnesota School of Business, and Globe University are far below the national national average for students graduating within six years.

If interest rates double, more than 7 million borrowers will be forced to pay an additional $1,000 in student loan payments each year. This is unacceptable.
Today, April 17, KSU students plan to demonstrate in Risman Plaza and will be tweeting using the hashtag #RAISEHELL and #NoTo16. The "RAISEHELL" hashtag is in reference to the slogan "raise hell, not tuition" which is being used at other student demonstrations across the country this week. Students far and wide are encouraged to stand in solidarity and tweet using the hashtags, #RaiseHell and #NoTo16.
