You know her from some of your favorite films — My Sister's Keeper, August: Osage County, and her Oscar-nominated turn in Little Miss Sunshine — but apart from being a crazy talented actress, Abigail Breslin is also a budding musician. Recently debuting a music video for her very first single, "You Suck," she stopped by BuzzFeed New York to chat all about her music and answer a few *very important* questions (like what her AIM screen name was and what she considers her go-to dance move).
1. Favorite music video of 2014?
Can I just say Nicki Minaj "Anaconda"? I mean obviously. It's too good.
2. Go-to karaoke song?
"All I Want For Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey. I did it in like October. No hate.
3. Dream duet?
Bon Iver. Justin Vernon is literally life. His voice sounds like God's tears.
4. What was your first AIM screen name?
It was SumAndSeth4Eva, because of The OC, and I was a big Summer and Seth lover.
5. Favorite boy band?
I'm gonna go with NSYNC. Actually, wait. NLT! Does anybody remember NLT? The guy from Glee, Kevin McHale, was in it. I went to a Glee concert and I was like "I love NLT!" and he was like, "Oh, OK. Really? Wow."
6. Last album you bought?
I bought a Christmas music CD at Starbucks with old Christmas classics.
7. Craziest fan story?
A lot of people try to pick me up, and I think it's because they think I'm still 9 for some reason. But, I was in a grocery store one day and this little girl came up to me and just said to me, "You're Elsa." And I was just like, "Um, no. No I'm not actually." And she was like, "No you are though. Like you are so." Little kids just automatically think blonde hair means Elsa.
8. What scares you?
Bugs. There was a bug on my wall a couple of weeks ago and I started screaming and said to my dad, "There's this giant bug with tentacles roaming around my room ready to attack me at any moment, I'm terrified." And we walked in and it was really tiny and it didn't have tentacles, it was just, like, a centipede. And I was like, "No, it was trying to kill me!"
9. Favorite website?
BuzzFeed.
10. What’s your favorite emoji?
Probably either the cat heart eyes or the moon. I just text that to somebody if they write something weird, or if my manager sends me something and I don't know, or if your ex tried to text you for no reason. Just the perfect "no reason for it" emoji.
11. Favorite pizza topping?
Just cheese.
12. Favorite quote?
My cousin one time told me when she was like 8 that her teacher told her, "You get what you get, and you don't get upset." #life
13. Who’s your favorite Disney Princess?
Is Elsa considered a Disney Princess? Then Elsa. Because everybody tells me I look like Elsa, and I've had little kids come up to me and ask me if I'm Elsa when I wear my hair in a braid.
14. Most-used hashtag?
I just write really long hashtags, but probably #hatersaremymotivatorz.
15. When it comes to Twitter trolls, do you ignore them or reply?
Ignoring is the right thing to do — to rise above, because it's not worth it. But I actually did reply once, and I gotta say, the girl really took it like a champ. She just said something to me about something I'd written and that I'd spelled it incorrectly. And I looked back and I actually didn't, and I just screenshot the actual spelling of the word, just like kept zooming in on it, and she just wrote back "#touche."
16. A lifetime supply of chocolate or pizza?
Chocolate!
17. If you could work with anyone from the past who would it be?
I'd like to work with Darren Aronofsky.
18. Who’s your doppelgänger?
Elsa!
19. What’s the most memorable concert you've ever been to?
Probably a High School Musical concert back in the day.
20. Last book you read?
I reread the Twilight books last year. Team Edward.
21. Favorite reality show?
I'm mostly really into TLC shows, like Say Yes to the Dress and Four Weddings. I've had to go to a bunch of weddings this year for some reason, like, everybody is getting married. So I'll usually go with my mom and we'll do "four weddings" at the table — we'll just be like, "Food: Let's give this a 6", and we try to get people to join in and they're usually like, "Ehh, no."
22. Biggest pet peeve?
Probably when people text you and then you reply and they just don't answer. It's like, you texted me! Why is this happening?
23. What's your stance on "k." in a text message?
It's like you're aggressively and actively trying to tell somebody that you're angry. Like "k." is the equivalent of being like, "I hope you die."
24. Can you do any good impressions?
I can do a good soccer mom.
