5. Decide early if you plan on having several different themes for your wedding.

If she wants "Protecting Our Hair And Eyes From Water"-themed nuptials, but he wants to show up in boxing gloves, then there's no reason these themes can't peacefully co-exist! Simply leave a blank space on all your wedding invitations, and instruct your guests to fill in whatever wedding theme they feel like coming dressed as on your big day!

6. Times have changed! If you're no longer comfortable with old wedding traditions like the "dollar dance," try something more modern, like the "human golf tee!"

7. Be sure you've set aside time before the big day to practice pushing around the groom in a shopping cart.

You don't want to get into a situation on your wedding day where one of the wheels on the cart gets stuck!

8. If you decide to have your wedding underwater, make sure your photographer can swim.
