A man has started up a Twitter account parodying Roland Emmerich's latest film: Stonewall.
Emmerich has come under criticism recently for what many feel is a whitewashing of the Stonewall riots.
In response, @RolandMovies is taking famous moments in black and minority history and giving them the Emmerich treatment.
"Griffin-Gracy, DeLarverie, and Rivera aren’t all that widely known outside LGBTQ academia," he said.
"So inventing Emmerich-style movies based on better-known people and celebrities seemed a fun way to bring them to the attention of a wider audience."
The account creator said he is joining the boycott of the film. Both Emmerich and the film's lead, Jeremy Irvine, have spoken out against the backlash.
We're sure Emmerich will be turning to the account for inspiration for his next film.
