For men, drinking is a bonding experience, even the stupid stuff. Don’t presume to judge others from your experience, it makes you look like a fool.

Really? This is your argument? That westerners with little to no need to ever learn the difference between Farsi and Arabic script that look almost identical for people outside the culture / geographic are is somehow a grievous error? So if I used Simplified Indochinese vr. traditional, or heck even Japanese or maybe even Korean, you could tell the difference without an issue? I think not, you just wanted to show off that you had a bit more knowledge about this than the average Joe.  Really pathetic.

I also do not agree with the death penalty. While US has it’s own share of issues like the death penalty, no way for an x offender to re-introduce themselves into society, people getting punished way more harshly than the crime, etc. It comes no where close to this level. I did not imply, I outright still state, that even with these issues , the USA and other civilized first world countries do not even come CLOSE to this type of behavior.  A band saw, in public, etc.  That you can even compare the two shows how out of touch you really are.  Even our own death penalty, however much I dislike it, they first put the prisoner under a general anesthetic, then stop the heart. Go to sleep.. never wake up.. is a long and far cry from taking your hand and running through a band-saw, in public, with people jeering, for a relatively minor offence.  If you can’t understand the difference, there is little to no hope for you.

How about don’t party to excess? A nice buzz, light drunk works fine and negates most of these.

Given that their concerns were addressed and a plan put in place, and given that they reject any attempt to work with them to solve their problem, it is clear they are only using this as an excuse to push their version of “morality” on the rest. They don’t want freedom of religion, they want religious control.

That this, or worse, is still occurring in the 21st century is totally barbaric. Most every civilized country stopped these types of barbaric punishments by the 19th century at the very latest, and many of the more worst examples long before.

Another obstructionist. I don’t mind when and IF president Obama does something out of the ordinary it is called out. However he did the same thing every president has done in the modern age.  So at what point do we as a people understand that all this noise is because we have president that is not part of the old boys club?  Even Clinton was not held to this level, why? Not black/white, it is all about old school money and power families, skull and cross bones crap.  The very wealthy can not STAND a president who is not one of them.

Funny, however I am not sure this is Hollywood per say, but screen writers. Seems they take the old advice, and write what they know.

I have always found it amusing that somehow people think that because one get’s older they stop liking things they did when they were younger.  Like at a certain age they all become a homogenized “old people” Norman Rockwell stereotype.

Funny that the term soccer came from England. It was “Socca” and abbreviation of their football league at the time, to differentiate football from Rugby Football, as it was named back in the late 1800’s. As it just became Rugby, the UK went back to calling the game Football. Meanwhile in the US Rugby Football was being morphed into Football (American), so “Socca” stuck and morphed spelling into the Soccer spelling used today.
