Watch A Massive Book Domino Chain Fall In Seattle Public Library

Starring 2,131 books, 27 volunteers, and Seattle's gorgeous public library.

To launch Seattle Public Library's 2013 Summer Reading program, 27 volunteers set up and toppled the world's longest book domino chain in the library's breathtaking flagship location. I have a hard enough time keeping books from falling over my nightstand, but they made this wonder with 2,131 retired titles from their catalog. The result is a giddy book-nerd world record.

They promise that "no books were harmed" in the making of this promo video, and that the books will be resold to support the program.
