    Trey Songz knows a thing or two about the ladies. The R&B crooner recently stopped by the BuzzFeed offices to talk about his latest album, Trigga Reloaded, and also share some dating advice he's learned along the way.

    How do you let a lady know you're interested in her?

    According to Songz, "have regular conversations with her; you don't have to act like you want to jump into her pants immediately. If you are genuinely interested in her you should be able to go into depth during conversation."

    This one is a little obvious, but is important for everyone to remember. Potential mates who often come across as "too easy" or "thirsty" historically aren't worth the extra work that's often necessary with finding your "prized possession."

    "Go out of your way to let her know that she's valued and has value in your heart," he adds.

    When eating out, make sure that your date orders first.

    Lessons learned: Songz' grandmother taught him at a young age that "when walking down the street with your lady, always walk on the side where the cars are and the woman should be on the inside."

    Small gestures like these go a long way. Walking on the outside is a way of showing that you care and also are able to protect your lady should a splash of water come up from the street, or another person try to knock you off your course.
