McDonald’s Ad Under Fire For Stereotyping Pit Bulls As Vicious
The fast food chain has apologized and pulled the local ad in response to outraged dog lovers everywhere. Although they still have not apologized for their food.

zombiehooker a year agoI have a MAJOR problem with anyone saying that this ad is no big deal. As the owner of 2 “pit bulls” who were stray dogs I know the discrimination that comes with owning such dogs. People immediately think they are dangerous and scary, even though they are (along with most Staffy’s I have met) the sweetest dogs I’ve ever known. It is because of negative stereotypes like this that so many Staffordshire Terriers get euthanized everyday because they are “unadoptable.” The terrible owners who breed these dogs to be attack dogs, are the real problem. The Staffordshire Terrier is the perfect breed of dog for fighting and protection, not only because of their strength, but because of their exceptional loyalty to their owner. They will kill themselves to make their owner happy. These are the best dogs I have ever owned, and I will fight to keep the Staffordshire Terriers name out of the mud. It is discrimination, and these good-natured, sweet-hearted dogs do not deserve it.

ligerstotle a year agoOut of curiotity, I asked my neighbors’ pitbull for her opinion. Carmen said, “The last time I ate a Quarter-pounder with cheese, I shit so bad for two days that it killed an oak tree and a family of moles. My shit was so nasty, even I didn’t want to eat it.” She’s got a point.

hangons a year agoI’ve always thought the phrase “political correctness run amok” was a worn out slogan used by white racists who long for the days when they could call black folks and Mexicans by their respective derogatory monikers. Now that I see we have to be sensitive not to stereotype specific breeds of dog (based entirely on fact), I’m having second thoughts about P.C.
