Theatre of War
This is part of a series images produced by artist Alex Atkinson. They are a comment on the manipulation of War coverage. The first photojournalist to cover a War was Roger Fenton in the Crimea. He was also the first journalist to manipulate the images for effect. This practice has continued throughout history. Everything from Frank Capa's Death of a Loyalist soldier to the erection of the Stars and Stripes at Iwo Jima.
