There is another huge reason Crossfit is so dangerous that seems to be overlooked. I’m a dialysis nurse who works in several hospitals. I’ve had many patients who have needed dialysis because of rhabdomyolysis. Rhabdo can kill your kidneys. Basically because you’re literally overworking your muscles, you can release toxins that are very detrimental to your kidneys. Sometimes they can recover from this and sometimes you are on dialysis the rest of your life (that’s 3 times a week for 4-5 hours). I know that this was not what happened to him but this information needs to be out there too.
