This Frog Is At Least 34 Million Years Old And Still Has A Face

The fossil was discovered 140 years ago, but now scientists have worked out its real age.

1. This is a fossil of a frog that lived between 34 and 40 million years ago. Remarkably, you can still clearly see its features.

2. Scientists CT scanned the fossil frog to see inside it. They found a skeleton “almost identical” to another frog that had previously been dated to 34–40 million years old, confirming the age of the fossil.
