Man Attacks Girlfriend For Looking At Facebook

SCRANTON - A city man lunged at his live-in girlfriend, threw her to the ground and tried to choke her after she told him she had been looking at his Facebook page, police said.

Benjamin M. Hoagberg, 30, faces simple assault and harassment charges for the alleged altercation at their 1054 N. Webster Ave. home Sunday morning.

His girlfriend, Jessica Seeders, told police Mr. Hoagberg came home drunk and was urinating all over their home, including in front of their daughter, arrest papers said.

Mr. Hoagberg was released from Lackawanna County Prison on Sunday after posting $10,000 bail. A preliminary hearing has been set for Monday.
