The posting of the video is obviously in response to the widespread media curiosity over the Aurora shooter (i.e. referring to him as “The Joker” and rampant speculation of his motives). Considering the relatively short amount of time between the two shootings, isn’t it relevant if it is “addressing coverage that goes on for weeks and glorifies the shooters”? If these events lead us into political debates over gun control (as well they should), should we not also consider the less easily perceptible, but possibly just as prominent effect that the media has on the individuals who commit these crimes?
