Sorry, but that is just a poor deflection from the fact that there is an issue. I got through college with very little debt & Financial Aid. I paid for it as I went by working a part-time and full time job.
Today, that just isn't plausible. Tuition has increased more than 340% in comparison to Wages. All supplement fees and costs have dramatically increase too. I am so lucky. I went to school when institutions of Higher Education was about education and not business. When it comes to college debt, it isn't just the economy. There has been bad recessions before. I had to find my first job in a horrible one and came from a rust belt working class family that survived hand to mouth. Who knew in the 92-93, we had it so good?
