A Man Might Get Deported Because He Doesn't Have Fancy Pizza Dough Tossing Skills

"Basically, immigration said, 'This guy can't throw pizza, so we're denying him the visa.'"

A Greek pizza maker in Massachusetts could face deportation after a federal judge decided he didn't have showman-level pizza dough tossing skills, the Boston Herald reported.

The owners of the pizzeria requested a visa for Spirou, saying he had the ability to "exercise showmanship in the preparation of food, such as tossing pizza dough in the air to lighten texture."

When Spirou admitted he couldn't toss dough like a pro, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services denied the visa petition.

"Basically, immigration said, 'This guy can't throw pizza, so we're denying him the visa,'" Desmond Fitzgerald, the attorney for Copeland Pizza, told the Herald.
