Buzzfeed FAIL. The interface is awful, like something MicroSoft would have shat out.
Um, so essentially this post is about how a guy-spotter would be just as consistently wrong/off-base as the real Spotify? Having a “type” is so pedestrian. These recommendations are racist, unimaginative and all-together way-too basic. How about suggesting the new(er) guy based on personality/personality of the roles they play (just using actors as an example)? Why recommend a white guy with bad hair if they already like a white guy with bad hair? How about a finding parallel attraction points like involvement in philanthropy, personal interests or… I dunno, anything less shallow? FAIL.
Thank you for posting this-but why is it listed as EST? Are you that thirsty for East-Coast approval? Setting your media-WhoreNess aside, the post contains both EDT and EST time stamps… edit for consistency much?
Uh, I’m not getting any audio, says a copyright dispute was filed or whatever. Stellar post….
Posts like this divide us instead of celebrating our common ground/common goals… setting aside the snide and sometimes ignorant approach this post employs I take serious issue with the idea that only a member of a certain group can advocate for/speak to the conditions of that group; if the rest of the world felt that way we wouldn’t have jazz, women’s rights, hip hop, civil rights… (the more you open your mind BuzzFeed, the longer the list gets). In the end equation, if Macklemore (and Ryan Lewis, the unsung hero in many of these discussions) did such a crummy job you would have had instant proof; when you posted this EVERYONE would have said, “Who?” or had no idea what you were talking about. We have a frame of reference for this discussion b/c Macklemore & Lewis rocked this one. Hard. HARRRD.
This company is doomed. DOOMED, I say. They “make viral videos” and this was the response they came up with? It made NO sense, didn’t actually counter her concerns and made them look less-than-creative. And that “boss” seemed a little, uh, let’s go with off; crazy eyes, didn’t seem to understand other people’s personal space while dancing and (on several occasions) humped the air suggestively which is, I’m sure, a quality we ALL want in a boss. FAIL.
As amusing (and mildly informative) as this was I am a tad unclear on the context and/or reason driving the creation of this post…
OK, I take back my earlier kudos - SHAME on you, Buzzfeed. Racist. Pro-Violence. WTF is up with this post? That last image ended up being included in post about idiotic responses to the pageant… on YOUR OWN site. Grow up. What kind of “adversity” inspires the “real” winner? Tattoo discrimination? I’ll be sure to start a hunger strike or sit-in real soon.
Bravo, Buzzfeed! Call them out on their sh!t.
The first CD I bought (to go in my very first stand-alone, component CD player) was Madonna’s “I’m Breathless.”
USC made it on here but not UCLA? Take a walk a few blocks in ANY direction and then take a picture, people! FAIL. Utter total FAIL.
Much like “Dancing With The Stars,” you’ve lost all perspective on fame. This is NOT a list of celebs but a casting sheet for “To Catch A Predator.” Boo, hiss.
Shia LaBeouf included in this list? FAIL. Flipping one’s car whilst drunk, getting kicked out of a drugstore late at night (again drunk) and picking crappy movies where all he does is hiccup/gasp instead of act - those are NOT signs of “keeping it together.” You are demoted to writing captions on Yahoo news.
Mmm, thank you - who needs coffee in the morning with pick-me-ups like this?
Yet another brilliant, totally based in fact, not at all suspicious “report” BuzzFeed decided to run. Who, exactly, has taken leave from the staff so as to allow bits like this in? Many of us love me some good ol’ data porn and get all lathered up when it comes to map porn - posts like this should be a no-brainer, yet this phoned-in attempt is what we get instead. Gold star for (sort of) trying.
As a native Angelino I’m just going to issue the standard reaction: If it is so great where you came from, go back. (It will help clear up traffic, too.)
That I do not accept the premise of this “article” should be assumed (the appalling, atrocious headline negates the entire post) - ignoring that basic info leaves only one major issue. Attending this school has warped and/or damaged your ability to read and properly use a standard, Western calendar. This post was obviously intended to run on April 1.
I love it! When do I get this life? (Under 30k, or so it claims!)
Like, oh-my-gawd! Thanks a million for sharing this rad post, or whatever. It, like, totally took me back in time… and the people who don’t, like, get it - saying negative junk and stuff - totally gag me with a spoon because this post was, like, totally tubular, far-out!!!
Well, for re-starters yes-as a teacher I’ve seen/heard it first hand: people buy these products to “support our schools.” Not sure I follow your second point, as the program is now year-round and the points have cut-off dates for when and how they can be applied so… no, there are not products with and without points that are the “exact same.”
And yes, people do eat less-than healthy food all the time. And I won’t “get over it” as long as schools are promoting such dismal habits and rewarding poor nutritional choices. Nice leap in logic at the end there… yes, I was saying children were going to DIE - that was exactly my point. Why don’t you re-read my response and mull it over why enjoying whatever a Toaster Strudel is…
That was silly - I had multiple tabs open in my desktop browser so I just dorked around the web when we were supposed to “wait.” This quiz failed on a few levels: 1. Assumed we were all addicted to the same things (don’t drink coffee, haven’t bothered getting into that candy game and gave up on QRs a long time ago); 2. Some of us live in parts of the country/world where it almost never rains; 3. Assumes that keeping phone close means keeping it in out pants/clothing (which also assumes we’re wearing pants while taking the quiz).
I teach secondary education so pardon me if I cross some sort of line here, but… WTF is up with #10?!? I know this is a “worthy” cause but have you ever looked closely at the some products that earn points? Or double/bonus points? The majority of point-earning products tend to be heavy in fat, sugar, preservatives and be highly processed, unhealthy foods. Isn’t there a way to help out schools that doesn’t put student health in jeopardy?
I’m pretty proud of here for this one…
I wouldn’t mind the whole switch to “flat” looking design if a) we had the choice of opting out of the look, b) they gave any (and I mean any) kind of justification for running towards a Windows look and away from the GUI that made them the dominant force on the mobile platform and c) if all the designers who support the move didn’t talk down to us about how if we don’t like “flat” we’re stupid or something.
