Seven active-duty members of Navy SEAL Team Six will lose two months of pay and their chances at promotion after revealing secrets as paid consultants on Medal of Honor: Warfighter, CBS News reports.
The consultancy apparently occurred over two days this spring and summer. Warfighter does not depict Osama bin Laden's assassination, though one of the SEAL consultants is believed to have been on the raid team.
In September, SEAL "Mark Owen" (real name Matt Bissonnette) released No Easy Day, a book detailing the bin Laden mission. CBS News also points out that SEAL Team Six will be featured in two upcoming movies: Zero Dark Thirty, a Kathryn Bigelow film about bin Laden's death, and another about Somali pirates.
Warfighter, an EA Games title, opens on a team of SEALs in Pakistan stopping an jihadist group's arms deal. Here's the trailer:
