Tony Abbott, Leader of the Opposition in the Australian House of Representatives, tried to remove Speaker Peter Slipper after it was discovered Slipper had been sending inappropriate sexual text messages.
But when Abbott accused Slipper of misogyny, Prime Minister Julia Gillard took the opportunity to bring up Abbott’s history of sexism and political double standards.
