You don’t even know how racist you are. Usually I’d let this go and think you’re helpless. Please think about how you feel about ‘groups’ of people. I know you’ve been taught ‘white’ people oppressed ‘black’ people. but, you’ve got to get off that. I am considered ‘white’ but have never even thought of a concept like ‘my people.’ I wasn’t taught that I had people. I don’t have my people, but you think i do have my people, because why? Because you think you have your people. There is a huge difference when speaking in generalities vs looking at individuals. EXAMPLE: black kid goes to an all white school in the suburbs, middle america. he gets treated extra politely by peers because they’re taught to treat him differently; a white kid goes to an all black school in the suburbs, middle america. he gets called ‘white boy’ or ‘naw, he aint a white boy,’ either way, he goes through a different life compared to that black kid at the all white school. Do you see how this is ducked up? DON’T jump to your programmed response of, ‘oh tell me how white people been enslave and shhhh.’ Think about that individual in that certain real situation. That’s how we do this. You can’t think it’s right to single an individual out because of their skin because ‘they (some sort of timeless group of people)’ never had it tough before and so they cannot complain now. It’s illogical, cruel, and leads people to hate.
