Was Ben & Jerry’s Original "Lin-Sanity" Flavor Racist?
The controversial Jeremy Lin-inspired flavor was originally vanilla frozen yogurt with swirls of lychee honey and fortune cookie pieces. They recently removed the fortune cookies. It’s currently only available at their Harvard Square store.

MrSwearword a year agoIf it had bits of dog or Peking duck in it THEN it is racist. Fortune cookie pieces make it offensive? Those haters “disgrace famiry”.

liana a year agoThere is no compelling reason for the news or companies to link Jeremy Lin with fortune cookies. So if you can’t see that this is racist, it’s because these kinds of associations have been normalized. It is dehumanizing to compare people to chopsticks, fortune-cookies and kung fu. It is important for people to stand up to ignorance and, no, it is not just people overreacting and be too “politically correct”.
