there wasn’t much good about talking on a phone that was attached to a wall. also, paying for long distance and what?! no internet. if you were arguing about something, you had to agree to disagree. there wasn’t such thing as googling it. i’d rather live right now. technology is better than ever and we truly live in the information age. sure… you have to be smart enough to sort through what you hear and see, but dammit… that’s just another way you learn what this world is all about.

I was a teen ager in the 90’s and I can vouche for it’s shitiness.

I was born in the wrong era. I would love to have been a teenager when Hanson, Backstreet Boys and Spice Girls were on the radio, not Fucking Foo Fighters and Eminem (oh wait…). When not everyone had cell phones and computers, so you sat in the house watching Saved by the Bell by yourself because you couldn’t find anyone. When sagging pants, jerseys and leggings were the fashion, not sagging pants, jerseys, and… leggings like it is now. When kids cared more about looking coolest and having a starter jacket than looking coolest and having a … facebook.  When you could stay out until it was dark and if you were late your parents could beat the shit out of you without neighbors batting an eye. 90’s sitcoms, hairspraying in public, and hair combs. When goth kids were considered the weirdos, preps and jocks like Britney Spears were royalty. Girls caked themselves in blush and lipstick and hairsprayed their hair into a curly crisp. People were so happy with themselves they brought back the wonderbra. :P
