Last night, Tennessee running back Chris Johnson followed similar gestures by Kevin Durant and Victor Cruz and wrote the name of each Sandy Hook victim on his shoes. Athletes often seem disconnected from the rest of society, more wrapped up in reality shows, or shoe deals, or Instagramming their parties than they are in what's happening in the world — so even if this is a tiny gesture, it's a welcome one.
