markj19 10 months agoit might have been unfortunate timing maybe, but I have to agree with one person’s comment, you can always cry racism when you see monkeys (which are very affectionate beings by the way). There is no way that NBC know that Gabby Douglas was going to be the last subject discussed when that commercial was scheduled to air. First of all she had to win the gold to be discussed. And how many times has that particular commercial been aired during the Olympics anyway ….lets just enjoy Gabby’s success, as well as all the athletes from ALL the countries, and hope they all perform well because that’s what it’s all about. BRINGING THE WORLD TOGETHER!! Pulling the race thing just takes a bit away from it all.

lonniefamudapmasterj 10 months agoI can’t lie I CDFU when it aired but now that the “coincedence” of that commercial airing immediately after Gabrielles win and then the animal that was used, but more importantly the animal just happened to be doing gynastics is where I feel they got it wrong, if the animal had been riding a bike or some other activity maybe there could not be a SUSPICION of insult but thosse factors mentioned above does make a Great argument. I.M.O

Anyone who thinks it was is stupid. The commercials are contolled by an outside company. Not NBC. Also, they are pre-planned out so they wouldn’t have enough time to plan it out like that. It a monkey for crying out loud. People are to freaking sensitive these days. Put on your big people panties and suck it up! Sheesh!
