It’s about human decency? Really?!?
Wow, not sure if everyone would like this happening to themselves, all of this really smacks of Zuckerberg hating. How can facebook be privacy invading if people post stuff online themselves? It’s not like I love everything about facebook… but IT’S A FREE SERVICE! FREE SERVICE! Plus, Callie… took the picture, and posted it to an entirely different outlet. Not that that never happens, and not that that is the worst thing in the world online, I consider this an overheard conversation… it’s grey area… nevertheless, it really seems like most of the things I read about this should go under the heading Zuckerberg hating.
It’s not about privacy settings?? that’s a really funny joke.. maybe that tweet was sarcastic… BTW, I read some people are talking about a privacy setting so only the tagged person can see the picture. where on earth is that? because I cant find that since 3 privacy setting changes ago lol. I know it ised to be that way but on some point it changed and believe me I’ve looked cause I hace pictures where all of the comments are people I don’t know chatting! so again, where is that?
So a public advocate of ending anonymity on the Internet, who also happens to be the sister of the guy who almost single-handedly destroyed privacy on the Internet, is upset because a photo she posted was seen by the public. Wow. This is quite possibly the most ironic piece of irony I’ve ever seen - perhaps in the history of mankind.
Umm. There is no inherent problem about FB in this. Say you emailed a photo to your sister, and she forwarded to her friends, one can commit the same failure in netiquette by emailing that photo elsewhere. Asking permission before uploading personal photos is an expectation which has been around for years.
