According to a new book, by Washington Post reporter Eli Saslow, Barack Obama has on multiple occasions written personal checks to Americans who have written to the White House with tales of their financial struggles. What a socialist! Redistributing wealth in such a condescending way. I’m sure this nation would be outrag—- Oh wait… That’s an awesome thing to do. Sorry I had my keyboard set to Fox News for a while.

      Obama hasn’t been the President I’d hoped he’d be—to be honest, I’ve been terribly disappointed by much of what he’s done (and much of what he has not done). But that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy a dark-humored chuckle watching moronic hard-right twits try to find a way to turn a compassionate charitable gesture into something that’s meaningless or even evil.  I submit that the real problem with our country can be seen right here: Senseless, selfish, stooopid clowns who slavishly treat party affiliation like membership in a street gang—win at any cost, never say anything good about the other gang, and kill as many as you can along the way. Threaten and try to intimidate anyone who gives your gang any problems. See a member of your rival gang doing something nice or good? Call ‘em a pussy, claim they’re just consolidating control over the ‘hood, or point out how much more they could have done. Don’t just try to insure that they never score any points with anyone—try to damage them with it. Destroy them completely if you can; nothing like a scorched-earth win. Who gives a fuck what kind of collateral damage you rack up. The ‘hood’s already a hell-hole, right? The rest of us would be much better off if everyone who thought this way was locked in a mental ward, where they belong.

      Lots of people give to charity and no one makes a huge deal out of it… I’ve witnessed people pay for stranger’s meals for no reason other than they felt like it and walk out the door before anyone could thank them.. I’ve read countless stories of people pulling into walmarts and giving money to strangers.. What about the people who give away 20 dollar bills at Christmas time? These things happen all the time, Obama is no better than any of these other UNsung heros.. Get over your president crush already, you guys are starting to look desperate…

      What they’re going to say is that he did it for propaganda (see below) because that’s the only reason why THEY ever would have done such a thing. It’s the same reason that liars see everyone else as untrustworthy, and the greedy see all others as selfish; we judge others by what we are ourselves.  For the same reason, the good at heart see others as essentially good as well… then they get taken advantage of by others who are thinking “I only did it to him before he did it to me.”
