A 17-Year-Old’s Quest To Touch Two Baseball Players’ Butts
Candice Sortino is a high school student in Omaha, Nebraska. Last week she attended the College World Series and decided that she wanted to get to “know” some of the outfielders. Here’s her dash in photos.

Snoozy 10 months agoi call bullshit on people bitching about there being a double standard. These men aren’t embarrassed because a woman grabbed their butts, but if a man grabbed a female athlete’s butt she would feel embarrassed and degraded because a) women’s sports aren’t taken seriously oftentimes and b) she would feel objectified as women often are in the public arena and her status would be lowered again. one thing that is different that would work in a female athlete’s favor is that it would probably be more acceptable if she then physically attacked the male harasser (a shove, maybe). there’s a reason why this is funny and cute and a reason why it wouldn’t be funny or cute if a 17 y/o dude ran on the field and grabbed 2 college softball player’s butts. but still, it’s disturbing that she’s willing to risk prosecution at such a young age for a silly act to gain fame, but then again…what can we expect in a world where “keeping up with the Kardashians” is a popular show
