John Oliver Imagines A World Of Gay Nintendo Characters

“Last Week Tonight” pokes fun at Nintendo’s “virtual eventual equality”.

Last week, Nintendo apologized for its decision not to allow same-sex relationships in their game Tomodachi Life and promised to be more sensitive in the future. On his new HBO show “Last Week Tonight”, John Oliver pictured a more perfect future, in which Nintendo characters are allowed to express their same sex hopes openly.
