@ John Rose - No, the Big Mac was not prepared by BK. For the taste test portion they took the people into the closest city where there was both a McDonald’s and a Burger King there and ordered burgers from each of them.

Seriously though- with the highest rate of obesity in the freagin world, I guess its a sneaky kind of way to make oneself look better… Just make everyone else around you fat!

I was, and still, skeptical on my initial viewing of the “Taste Test” commercial. Would have been better if a third party conducted the test with the Whopper and Big Mac being prepared by B.G. and MacD respectively. Hands down, I think the introduction of hamburger to other culture has far superior positive image of the USA than the crime and violence movies and our intervention on other countries govenment.

Take it from the bedouin with six teeth who prefers yak meat and camel turds…the Whopper is superior!

It would be a lot funnier if they would have that creepy Burger King come from behind a curtain to terrorize these poor innocents.

I thought this was going to be all exploitive but it’s just about giving people a new experience. What’s wrong with that? I want someone to product test me on foreign foods! This campaign can totally work in reverse.

Stupid campaign. Who cares if a guy from Transylvania prefers the Whopper? This is the classic #2 brand, ad campaign, it gets people talking but it won’t change a thing in terms of market share.
