I would just like to know what exactly an AMERICAN could possibly find appealing about socialism? Do you even know what it really is? Do you have some lovely dream that it means everyone is equal? Or that everyone is guaranteed comfort? Perhaps a combo of both is what you think socialism is.
It. is. not. My family ESCAPED from a socialist country, a country that regulated how much food you could own at any one time. A county that forced teens to serve in the military and only allowed children to attend school three days a week. A country where death in childbirth for mother and child is COMMON due to the lack of skilled doctors. That is a very real though tiny peek into your socialist paradise. Think an American president can do it any better? Why? Why do you think so? Why give away all of your choices and freedoms to people or politicians that crave and desire raw power above everything else?
