      It isn’t irrelevant.

      American Airlines is cited and known as using Helvetica as their typeface and not changing it. And that’s what makes it so exceptional (the *brand* AND the *typeface*). The fact that they HAVEN’T changed it is entirely the point, so seeing another (wildly different) font is surprising, to say the least. Historical context.

      Another example is CocaCola, who has used the same logotype for over a hundred years.
