Letters From A Former Lover

I'm 18 years old at Lafayette College in PA, and I'm trying to get a really cool project started. Kind of HONY meets John Green.

I was reading a letter from a friend's current ex, and this idea hit me. Break up letters are so intriguing and are so full of emotion. I feel like I could read them all day, maybe it's because I'm nosy.

In any event, I'm attempting to put a fun project together. It's a compilation of letters and pictures. You provide the letters; I'll provide the pictures. I want letters from exes: happy, sad, regretful, hopeful, long, short, etc., I want them all. Initially I was going for letters in the midst of a break up, but reflecting letters would be okay too. Please send them to me, typed up or submitted, with a name or alias, preferably with a date. (I've created an email: [e-mail]).

I've put together a tumblr explaining the project: and how the pictures are going to work. Basically I'm going to find something related to/some item in the letter, and take a picture of it broken. For the letter I wrote to my ex-boyfriend, I'm thinking of putting an image of a broken beer bottle because he is the first person I drank alcohol with.

Here's an example of a letter I wrote to an ex last year. This is the format of what I think I'd want to do - date as title, and the signature as the signature (not a signature font, but its the best I could do right now). The name's won't be blurred when I put it together, but now for the example, I figured blurring it would be the best idea.

Here's a photograph I took with a crack in the sidewalk. I don't think I'd use this image, but now, as I'm getting this started, this is an example I've been using. This image could work for a variety of different letters, i.e a couple who went on walks, or visited NYC, etc.
